Kramer, Fritz L.

Fritz Kramer was born in Vienna, Austria in 1918. Following Hitler's annexation of Austria, he emigrated to the U.S. in 1939. Kramer enlisted in the Army in 1942 and joined the 87th Infantry Regiment at Ft. Lewis, Wash. In July 1943 he went with the 10th RECON to Seneca Rocks near Elkins, W. Va. He was later stationed at Camp Hale, Colo., and Camp Swift, Tex. He went with the 10th Mountain Division to Italy in January 1945. After the war, Kramer earned a Ph. D. in Geography and taught in the U.S., Germany and Yugoslavia.
