Mary Margaret Langdon, director of the Office of Community Programs at Loyola University Chicago, was born in Chicago, IL, on June 16, 1918. She received her B.A. from Mundelein College and did M.A. course work at Loyola University. In 1977 Langdon became the director of the Office of Community Programs at Loyola, a position she retained until her retirement in 1993. During her tenure as director, Langdon was instrumental in organizing personal safety programs at the Lake Shore Campus; was in charge of the Walk-to-Work program; worked on the Loyola Lakefill project; was activie in the Rogers Park and Edgewater communities; and served on several Loyola and city of Chicago committees including Loyola's Urban Concerns Committee, the Loyola University Women's Board, the Chicago Plan Commission, and the Chicago Crime Commission. Langdon passed away in 1993.
