Fortescue-Brickdale, Eleanor
English artist Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale studied at the Crystal Palace School of Art and Royal Academy schools. She exhibited paintings in both oils and watercolors, and illustrated a number of books, including children's books and poetry. She also worked in stained glass. Her work is variable in both quality and subject matter, but her best illustrations are bright, evocative, and skillful.
