Gag, Flavia

Native to Minnesota, Flavia Gag (1907-1979) was born in New Ulm. She was an author and illustrator of children's books and numerous magazine articles--for her own books and for other authors. Although not as well known as her sister Wanda Gag, she was an author and illustrator in her own right. She lived in New York, New Jersey and Florida and enjoyed traveling between these sites. She died in Crescent City, Florida in 1979.

From the guide to the Flavia Gag Collection, 1940-1961, (University of Minnesota Libraries Children's Literature Research Collections [clrc])
