O'Connor, T. V., 1870-1935
T.V. O'Connor (1870-1935) served as Commissioner of the U.S. Shipping Board longer than any other member and came to represent it in the public mind. He was Vice Chairman until June 16, 1921, and became Chairman on February 5, 1924. He was also president of the Merchant Fleet Corporation from October 13, 1927 to September 28, 1929.
