Miller, Samuel, 1792-1869
Samuel Miller was a Lynchburg, Va. businessman and philanthropist. He made a fortune in tobacco trade before the Civil War, and left money to establish an orphanage for girls in Lynchburg and a Miller Manual Labor School in Albemarle County.
