Biography of Oscar Reed, Jr.

Oscar Wellington Blucher Reed, Jr., was a lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C., area. He was born in the District in 1917 and graduated with a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of America in 1939. From August of that year until his retirement in 1984, Reed was associated with Jansky & Bailey, Consulting Broadcast Engineers, a company later acquired by the Atlantic Research Corporation (ARC).
