Kendall, Thomas, 1778?-1832
Church Missionary Society missionary, orthographer and linguist. Kendall founded the Rangihoua Mission in the northern Bay of Islands, with fellow settlers William Hall and John King. Kendall is best known for his "Grammar of the New Zealand language".
