McHenry, John, 1809-1880.
Judge John McHenry migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1850 from New Orleans. He opened law offices in San Francisco and commuted from across the bay from his land Temescal Rancho. In 1864 he moved his family to San Francisco. McHenry returned to the East Bay in 1878 and died there in 1880.
