Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education
Founded in 1976, the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education is a North American organization that fosters human development in higher education through faculty, instructional, and organizational development. The POD Network provides support and services for its members through publications, conferences, consulting, and networking. It offers services and resources to individuals interested in faculty development and takes on an advocacy role, seeking to inform and persuade educational leaders of the value of faculty, instructional, and organizational development in institutions of higher education. A board of directors known as the Core Committee governs the activities of the POD Network.
