Charles White Underwood

Charles White Underwood was admitted a sizar at St John's College, Cambridge, in July 1840, at the age of 24, and matriculated at Michaelmas that year (B.A., 1844; M.A., 1847). He was ordained deacon in 1844, and priest in 1845. Underwood was Vice-Principal of Liverpool College, 1853-1865; Vicar of Histon, Cambridgeshire, 1865-1899; Hon. Canon of Ely, 1875-1899; and Rural Dean of Chesterton, 1876-1892. He died on 11 November 1899.
