Mary Anne Watts Hughes, British hostess and writer. Wife of Thomas Hughes, Canon of St. Paul's Cathedral, she was a friend and correspondent of Robert Southey and Sir Walter Scott; her Letters and Recollections of Sir Walter Scott was published in 1904.
