Hoad, J. C. (John Charles), 1856-1911
Major-General Sir John Hoad's distinguished military career culminated in his appointment as Chief of General Staff of the Australian Military Forces in 1909. He served in the Boer War and photographs of Australian troops in South Africa are included in the scrapbooks.
