Miles, John E.
John E. Miles was elected Governor of New Mexico in 1938 and was re-elected in 1940. He was born in Tennessee in 1885 and moved to New Mexico in 1906. He served as a public official in various positions before and after his tenure as Governor, including a term as one of New Mexico's U.S. Representatives from 1949 to 1950.
