Evangelical Protestant missionary and executive of several Evangelcial institutions; born November 7, 1904; educated at Nyack Missionary Training Center, Gordon College, Boston university; missionary to Colombia and Peru with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, 1925-1941; pastor and professor of missions at Gordon College, 1941-1944; officer of the National Association of Evangelcials, 1944-1963; executive secretary of the Evangelcial Foriegn Mission Association, 1945-1974; officer of the World Evangelical fellowship, 1966-1975; served on the executive committee of the 1966 World Congress on Evangelism and the 1974 International Congress on World Evangelization
