Felsing, William A. (William August), 1891-1952
William August Felsing, born 1891 in Texas and educated at the University of Texas and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, served in both world wars as a chemist, began teaching at the University of Texas in 1914, and remained there until his death in 1952.
Felsing's main research was on the physical properties of solutions and on the pressure-volume-temperature relationship of gases. He directed the work of approximately 25 graduate students at the University of Texas.
