Vlasov, Andreĭ Andreevich, 1900-1946
Andrei Andreevich Vlasov (b. 1901-d. 1946), Lieutenant-General in the Army of the Soviet Union, held a number of key positions during World War II, including commander of the 99th Rifle Division, IV Mechanized Corps, 37th Army, 20th Army, and 2nd Shook Army. He was taken prisoner of war in 1942, became commanding officer of ROA (Russian Liberation Army; anti-Communist), and was later arrested, condemned to death, and executed as a traitor.
