Fox, John A. (John Andrews), 1835-1922
Commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the 2nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Company I; later transferred to Company F; promoted to 1st lieutenant (1862) and then to adjutant (1863); received two brevet promotions (1865), one of captain and one of major; mustered out, 1865.
