Church of the United Brethren in Christ (1800-1889)

Church of the United Brethren in Christ established Sept. 25, 1800; in 1889 a group broke away and formed Church of the United Brethren in Christ (Old Constitution). The remaining majority merged with Evangelical Church into the Evangelical United Brethren which in 1968 merged with The Methodist Church, forming the United Methodist Church.
