Bell, James Adrian, 1917-
James Bell worked as a journalist and was a correspondent for Time, Inc. from 1942-1948. He served as White House correspondent from 1948-1950. Bell was bureau chief in the Middle East, 1951-1954; Central Europe, 1954-1956 and 1961-1966; China and Southeast Asia, 1956-1959; Africa, 1959-1961; New York, 1966-1968; Rome, 1968-1973; Atlanta, 1973-1976; and Boston, 1976- .
