Todd, John, 1818-1894
John Todd was a Congregationalist minister and abolitionist. He moved to Iowa in 1850 and organized the Tabor, Iowa Congregational Church and turned his home into a station on the Underground Railroad. He also helped to start Tabor College and to found Congregational churches in Glenwood, and Sioux City, Iowa. In 1864 Todd served as chaplain with the 46th Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment.
