Clark, Charles H., 1860-1922.
Charles Clark was born in Monroe Township, Monroe County, Iowa. He was a farmer, a dairyman, and beekeeper in Monroe County's Franklin Township for most of his life. He also served Monroe County as township assessor, justice of the peace, and school board president. From 1913 through 1916 he was a state representative to Iowa's 35th and 36th General Assemblies. Clark built his own beekeeping equipment and marketed his honey products through stores in Albia and various local mining camps (Hiteman, Lockman, Coalfield, Avery, Hines, Hocking, Mystic, Buxton and Everest). Clark was buried in the Oak View cemetery at Albia, Iowa.
