Rucker, William Frederick Augustus, c.1806-1882.
Wine merchant in Hobart. Went to Melbourne in 1838 to open an agency of the Derwent Bank of Van Diemen's Land, and became well-known as a merchant. He was a pioneer of the oversea shipping trade and was connected with the first Fire and Marine Insurance Company.
