University of Washington. Faculty Auxiliary.

The University of Washington Faculty Auxiliary is an organization for faculty members and administrative officers and their partners and friends. Ongoing efforts include providing opportunities for social and cultural interchange, annual undergraduate scholarships, and overall service to the UW community. The organization was first organized in 1908 as the Faculty Women's Club. In 1916 the name became Faculty Wives Club and remained so until 1976, when a new name, the Faculty Auxiliary of the University of Washington, was adopted.
