University of California (System). Library Council
The University of California Library Council was created on October 10, 1945 by University of California President Robert Gordon Sproul. The Library Council addresses library-related problems affecting more than one University of California campus, implements consistent policy and practice, and determines the appropriate distribution of responsibilities.
