Social Welfare History Group
The Social Welfare History Group (SWHG) was created in the 1960s by professional historians and those involved in other disciplines, including social work, with an interest in studying the history of social welfare and social work. SWHG is active in the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) annual programs and major historical organizations across the United States.
