McDougall, Gerald M. (Gerald Millward), 1934-
Steel tanker built in 1917 at Duluth, Minn. by McDougall-Duluth Co. for Robert Barnes Steamship Co., Duluth. Renamed Fortuno (some records show Fortune or Fort) and M.T.S. No. 2. Sold to U.S. Navy (1918) and used for oil storage at Guam. Navy lists her as Robert L. Barnes. Captured by Japanese at Guam and used by the Japanese Navy during World War II. Later was owned by the British in Hong Kong. Scrapped in 1950.
