Prescott, Timothy.
This diary is attributed to Timothy Prescott who was a leading citizen of Concord, Mass. in the early years of the 19th century. He was apparently both a lawyer and a farmer and is said to be the father of Civil War hero, Colonel George L. (George Lincoln) Prescott (1829-1864). He was active in the town's business and in some reform movements.
