These records were created by the UCF Student Government Association
The Student Government Association at UCF has existed since the university opened to students in 1968. It is divided into three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The Executive Branch is composed of student leaders appointed by the Student Body President each year. The Senate is composed of fifty-two student leaders who are elected by students each Fall. The Senate works solely with students and the many Registered Student Organizations to allocate them the funds from the Activity and Service Fee, which all students pay, for travel, conference registration, and event planning. The Judicial Branch protects students' rights through the interpretation of the Constitution.
