Frederick, Pauline

Journalist, war correspondent, radio and television broadcaster. Born Gallitzen, PA, 1908; graduated American University (B.A. 1930, and M.A., 1931). Columnist for various newspapers, 1931-39; editorial and radio assistant for H.R. Baukhage, 1938-44; World War II war correspondent for North American Newspaper Alliance, Western Newspaper Union and Baukhage,1945-46; correspondent for ABC News, 1946-53, for NBC News, 1953-74, and for National Public Radio, 1975-80. Married Charles Robbins, 1969. Died 1990.
