Howe family.

Julia Ward Howe was an author and social reformer. Her four daughters, Julia Romana Howe Anagnos, Florence Marion Howe Hall, Laura Elizabeth Howe Richards, and Maud Howe Elliott, were also authors. Julia Ward Howe, Laura Richards, and Maud Elliott are included in Notable American Women, 1607-1950 (1971).
