Cornell-Liberia Project.

The Cornell-Liberia Project was a joint effort of Cornell University and the U. S. Agency for International Development. Cornell provided a team of experts on university organization and services. Their job was to reorganize the University of Liberia and plan its development into an academic institution capable of providing for the expanding needs of Liberia. Important personnel included Richard R. Bond, Carlton Wright, G. F. Shepherd, Jr., and Frederick A. Williams, Jr., in Liberia; and A. W. Gibson, the Cornell campus personnel coordinator of the project.
