Dransfield, Jane, 1875-
Jane Dransfield (1875-1957) was a playwright and lecturer on the theater. Her plays included The Lost Pleaid, Blood O' Kings, Joe, The Romance of Melrose Hall, and The White Window. A book of her poetry, Marks Upon a Stone, was published in 1940. Dransfield also wrote theater reviews and was active in several literary societies. At one point she served as an officer on the Drama Committee for the Poetry Society of America.
