Redmayne, Harold
Harold Redmayne (b. 1887 at Didsbury in Manchester) was educated at Manchester Grammar School. He worked as an accountant in Manchester and Paris before taking up a post in Berlin in June 1914. Arrested on suspicion of spying, he was held as a British Civil Prisoner of War and interned at Ruhleben, 1914-1918, living in Barrack No. 5, Barrack No. 13 and Barrack No. 21. He was elected on to Ruhleben Camp Council.
