Borchardt, Georges.

BIOGHIST REQUIRED Georges Borchardt, a literary agent, began representing French publishing firms in New York during the early 1950s. Later, he also acted for individual French authors who were seeking American publication. Eventually he handled American and English authors as well. With his wife, Anne Bolton Borchordt, he formed Borchardt, Inc. Literary Agency in 1968. His clients have included Flammarion, Gallimard, Denoël, Albert Camus, Jean Giraudoux, Julien Green, Jean-Paul Sartre, Stanley Elkin, and Elie Wiesel.
