Massachusetts. General Court. Joint Committee on Local Affairs

The Joint Committee on Local Affairs was first constituted as a standing committee of the General Court as of 1968 (Senate Journal, Jan 24/Feb 2, l967; House Journal, Jan 25/Jan 30, l967). The committee considers all matters seeking enactment of special laws for a certain city or town; establishment of economic, district, and local planning commissions; rent control; zoning laws and rules; and other matters referred.
