Slagle, Henry M.
Henry M. Slagle of Washington County, Tenn., served as 1st Sergeant in Company B, 8th Tennessee Cavalry in the Union army during the Civil War.
The regiment engaged in various skirmishes in East Tennessee. It participated in the defense of Knoxville during Confederate General James Longstreet's siege of the city. The regiment mustered out at Knoxville on September 11, 1865.
