National social welfare assembly
In 1945 the National Social Work Council reorganized as the National Social Welfare Assembly, an association of national welfare groups concerned with broad social problems, fund-raising in social work, and the proper role of voluntary associations in health and welfaremovements. The assembly reorganized substantially in 1967, becoming the National Assembly for Social Policy and Development. In 1973 it again reorganized and is now the National Assembly of National Voluntary Health and Social Welfare Organizations.
