Cardwell, Kenneth H., 1920-
In 1972, the California Department of Parks and Recreation proposed restoration of the Cooper-Molera adobe. Parks and Recreation leased the property from the National Trust for Historical Preservation. Beginning in 1973, architects, archaeologists, and others worked on the project to research and restore the buildings and grounds in the manner of the period between 1820 and 1850.
