Thomas Dudley Memorial (Cambridge, Mass.)

Construction of the Thomas Dudley Memorial was begun in 1949. The memorial, which replaced the Dudley Gate on Quincy Street, consists of a terrace and sundial on the Massachusetts Avenue side of Lamont Library. The terrace, reached by stone steps from the street and by walks from Lamont Library, is above street level and protected from street noises by a high wall.
