Cochrane Corporation.
The Cochrane Corporation was a manufacturer of water and steam purification equipment used in steam power plants. The firm was established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1863 and incorporated in 1920. Cochrane Corporation's products included feed water heaters, water softeners, water meters, valves, and traps. Its equipment was used in factories, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, and ships. Cochrane Corporation became a division of the Crane Co. of Stamford, Connecticut, in 1960.
