Physician and community servant from Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Glesne attended high school in Decorah, Iowa. He served as a private in World War I and then attended St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota. He served as commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps (1943-1946), the director of the St. Olaf Student Health Center (1965-1967), chief of Medical and Health Services for the Iowa Dept. of Social Services (1968-1969), president of the Webster County Medical Society (1949), and president-elect and president of the Iowa Medical Society (1960-1962). He maintained a medical practice in Fort Dodge from 1926 until his retirement in 1965 and was a staunch advocate for the general practitioner. He was a member of several community service clubs and boards in Fort Dodge.
