Bode, Emil Ernst, 1872-1962.

Son of Edward Nicolaus Heinrich and Elizabeth Louise Bode, Bode was born in Howell, Michigan, October 26, 1872. He spent his life and career in Howell where he worked as a tailor's apprentice, post office clerk, stenographer, bookkeeper, paymaster, editor, auditor and controller of the Citizens Mutual Auto Insurance Company. Emil retired from the insurance company in 1944.
