Hornocker Wildlife Institute
Hornocker Wildlife Institute was founded in 1985 by Dr. Maurice Hornocker who was the dean of the mountain lion research and the leader of the Idaho Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Idaho. The Hornocker Wildlife Institute would conduct intensive long-term research projects on threatened and endangered species and sensitive ecological systems. They used to be part of the University of Idaho but have merged with the Wildlife Conservation Society and are now based out of the WCS offices in Bozeman, Montana.
