Arnold, Ralph, b. 1875.

Ralph Arnold, a leading consulting geologist and petroleum engineer in the United States, came to Pasadena, CA, from Iowa with his family in 1880, and was educated at Stanford University. Arnold became a member of the U.S. Geological Survey, wrote and lectured extensively on geological subjects, engaged in numerous mining and petroleum ventures, and was active in Republican politics, especially in the presidential campaign of Herbert Hoover.
