Beatty, John I. (John Imlay), 1806-1885

Merchant, of Allentown, Monmouth County, New Jersey; married Sarah McKean (1805-1884) in 1829; conducted a general store as successor to McKean & Newell (a partnership of David McKean and Samuel C. Newell) from June 1831 to October 1833, when the store was resumed by David McKean; took over McKean's general store in 1846, the year of McKean's death, and continued it until at least 1868.
