United States. Commission Appointed to Treat with the Sioux Indians for the Relinquishment of the Black Hills
The Sioux Indian Commission was established in June 1875 to negotiate a new treaty with the Sioux Indians concerning their rights to the Black Hills, where gold had been discovered, and which the United States Government wanted to acquire. The Commission was headed by William B. Allison.
