Madison Coal Corporation.

The Madison Coal Corporation of Chicago, Illinois, owned and operated several coalmines in southern Illinois during the years of this collection, 1915-1942. The buildings and farmlands were also owned by the corporation. Local farmers leased these properties, lived in the houses, and farmed the land.
