University of Kentucky. Office of Legal Counsel.

According to the Allegations and Inquiries Case Summary, it was alleged that on March 30, 1988, while recruiting prospective student-athlete Chris Mills (Los Angeles, California), men's assistant basketball coach Dwane Casey sent a package via Emery Worldwide Overnight Service that contained a videotape and 20 $50 bills to Claud Mills, the prospect's father at their home. It further alleges that a receipt for delivery of the package was signed by the prospect.

This allegation can be divided into five questions which the case set out to answer: (1) did Casey place money in the overnight package; (2) was money in the package when it left the university; (3) did Emery Overnight representatives find money in the package; (4) did Emery place the money back in the package and deliver it, and (5) did Claud Mills receive the money?
