Pennsylvania Population Company

The Pennsylvania Population Company owned and sought to sell and settle enormous tracts of northwest Pennsylvania land after the American Revolution; the North River Petroleum Company was incorporated in 1865 during the oil rush in northwest Pennsylvania.
